Widget: Verify the Equality of 3 or More Variances/Standard Deviations

One condition of ANOVA tests is that all populations must have equal variances. One rule of thumb to check this is to ensure that the largest sample variance is less than twice the smallest sample variance. If this is true, then this condition is met to conduct an ANOVA test.

The Widget below outputs two values: the maximum of the list and 2 times the minimum of the list. If the first value is less than the second value, then you can assume your populations have equal variances.

The same check can also be performed using sample standard deviations.
