Data: Vehicle Fatalities and Alcohol

In 2009 there were 911 motor vehicle fatalities in Illinois.  Of these, 35% involved drivers whose blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) was above the legal limit of 0.08.  In that same year there were 561 motor vehicle fatalities in Wisconsin.  Of these, 38% involved drivers whose BAC was above the legal limit.
